WHAT’S INCLUDED IN MY MEAL PLAN?

Board Meal Credits

Board Meal Credits are included in each meal plan which are redeemable at any one of the four Bancroft Campus Residential Dining Halls and the Scott Park Café at the Scott Park Campus.  All of your meal plan information is included on your Rocket Card.  Simply present your card top the cashier at each dining venue.  If you have a continuous dining plan you can eat at the Residential Dining Hall as much as you want either Monday through Sunday or Monday through Friday depending upon your individual meal plan.  If you are a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and have an Any 10 or Block 125 meal plan a transaction will be deducted from your meal plan.  Board meal credits are reserved for students use only and are not transferable from semester to semester.

Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars are dollars included in your meal plan that can be used at all AVI sponsored dining venues.  The Dining Dollar account is a non-renewable balance account which means you cannot add to Dining Dollars, but you can to your Rocket Card account.  Dining Dollars may be used to entertain family members or friends at any dining hall including University retail venues.  Any remaining balance of Dining Dollars will transfer from the fall semester to the following spring semester; however, you’ll want to be sure to use the remaining Dining Dollars before the end of the spring semester because they will not transfer to the next academic year.

Rocket Card Dollars

The Rocket Card acts as a debit card, or declining balance account.  It can be used at any dining hall on campus including retail venues, most vending machines, participating stores and restaurants off campus and the University Bookstore.  Each meal plan allows for a specific sum of rocket dollars. You can also add dollars to our card at any time by going on line at www.rocketcard.utoledo.edu or at the Cashier’s office located at Rocket Hall.  Rocket Card dollars can be used to entertain family members of friends who visit you at the University of Toledo.  Any remaining balance at the end of the semester will transfer to the following semester.  In fact a remaining balance will also transfer from academic year to academic year

Be sure to let the cashier at the dining venue of your choice
 know which meal plan tender you would like to use:
Board Meal Credit,  Dining Dollars or Rocket Card Dollars. 

Meal plan credits are not transferable from any one of the three accounts.  Meal plans are assigned to one student only.  Students are not allowed to loan their Rocket Card or meal plans to other students.  Students found in violation of the University meal plan policy will have their Rocket Card confiscated and meal plan privileges suspended.
